Former world most expensive footballer Paul Pogba has been named Europa footballer of the season 2016/2017.

The Frenchman was highly influential in Manchester united triumph in the Europa league featuring in all 15 games and scoring three goals.

United finished second in their group behind Fenerbahce, but went on to beat St-Etienne, Rostov, Anderlecht and Celta Vigo, before beating Ajax 2-0 in the final.

United finished sixth in the league, meaning Europa League victory allowed the Red Devils a route into the Champions League.
